A place where engineering and enthusiasm have always gone hand in hand. Where visions are born and every model is developed completely from scratch. From the initial idea to the finished design. From the very first touch to the final test drive. From the race-bred sports car to the thoroughbred race car.

Here at the heart of this rural idyll, just 25 kilometres from our main factory, the sports cars of the future are born. And have been since 1971. The Development Centre Weissach combines all the components of the early design phase: design studio, prototype development, wind tunnel and test rigs. Directly adjacent is the dedicated test track, where every Porsche is put through its paces. This applies to both sports cars and race cars alike. Because the latter are developed just a few hundred metres away on the other side of the test track: in the Porsche Motorsport Centre in Flacht. There could hardly be closer links between series production and motorsport. Which is how we ensure that every Porsche is developed using the experience and efficiency gained from over 60 years of motorsports and more than 30,000 race victories – no matter from which side of the test track it originates.
